This site is dedicated to lobbying the NSW state government to introduce 15 hours of free child care per week for every NSW child.

We run open meetings around the Wollongong area on a regular basis to brainstorm ideas for our campaign . Please feel free to come along and participate.

We also have several excellent resources available for download free of charge (including a lobbying kit) if you are interested in starting a similar campaign in your area.

Additionally, the posts below contain news and discussion around the 15 Hours of Potential cause.

Labour Government backtracks on funding for our children

15 hours of potential is about providing children with 15 hours of free child care in order to support their transition into primary school. This provision supports each child’s basic need for inclusion and equity (NSW Curriculum Framework, n.d). The NSW Federal government, in the 08/09 budget allocated funds for every family to receive this support. However, it was made clear, in a recent statement to media that the 15 hour would no longer be free and it would be up to each state to provide funding for this initiative.

Do you think that this is an achievable goal for the NSW Government?
